Eternal Life 02:59
We could live forever if it's in our hearts to escape the pain and never part. Think of all the moments we would know and see; just follow after me. We could live for years until the sun is gone, embrace what change and dreams may come. There would be no darkness in the light of love; there's more than enough. I believe in eternal life. Believe in me, all we have is time. Remember my name, hold onto the flame, and you'll believe in eternal life. We could see forever with open eyes, trace the depths and scale the heights. We would see the whole world in a different light for all of our lives. We could hear the music of the heavenly, become like waves or fly so free. We could hear undying future melodies that make us dance and sing. I believe in eternal life. Believe in me, all we have is time. Be free fom your shame and burn like a flame, and you'll believe in eternal life. You'll believe in eternal life.

Memory Lane 01:52
I took a ride down Memory Lane. Long gone are the monuments the strip malls replaced. The thought is sweet, but it's bitter to taste. The moment passed and the times have changed. No. You can't have it back, you can't live in the past. I won't go into uncertainty without my memory of what we used to say. It's with me still today. The kids from "way back when" are with us once again. Broken homes line Memory Lane all haunted by arguments, struggle, and pain. You ran away, swore your life would change. Broken hearts never heal the same. Whoa! You gotta' take it back, you gotta' learn from the past. You won't grow without the memory and who you want to be. You seek and then you pray. Let wisdom light your way. The kid from "way back when" is in you 'til the end. It's just a ride down Memory Lane. Let's take a ride down Memory Lane.

No More Guns 02:57
No one to kill, nothing to die for. No religion or god would agree that you have the right to end someone else's life or create fear because you feel "free". No more guns. No more guns. No more guns. NO MORE GUNS! Do you believe in freedom or fighting when children die in their churches and schools? Which is worth more: a gun or their future? Which will it be? only one you can choose. No more guns. No more guns. No more guns. NO MORE GUNS! NOW! Now is the time to open your heart and lay down your arms. NOW! Now is the time to open your heart and lay down your arms. The power to kill and bless is in your hands. All the destruction and suffering must end. Join in the fight. Resist all the violence. Protect all life and see the promised land. No more guns. No more guns. No more guns. NO MORE GUNS!

Blood for blood, eye for an eye. Good people under pressure on their knees as they ask God "why?". War, peace, and no white flag yet. Revolution is the sound of the wheel as they spin roulette. I ain't your countryman. I don't have national pride. I got no country, I'm just doing what I can to get by. Out in our country, they're forcing families to run and hide. They got no country, they're just doing what they can to survive! Survive in America. Silence is a deafening tone. We're forced to listen to their mission and their vision when we've got our own. One people's voice is like a storm. Hear from the battle is the song and the sound that you can't ignore. I ain't your countryman. I don't have national pride. I got no country, I'm just doing what I can to get by. Out in our country, they're forcing families to run and hide. They got no country, they're just doing what they can to survive! Survive in America.

Ghost Story 02:56
Good news and bad news and the answer is the same. Your confusion and delusions happen because you have a powerful brain. In the shadow, in the darkness, the memory sustains. Apparitions are imprisoned inside your past and pain. Let's talk about your ghosts: haunted or holy, they're part of your story. It's time to let go and make peace with the spirits. Listen and hear them! Still haunted, the unwanted voices never cease. Bones rattle as you battle, fearing your defeat. In memoriam: it's the story of your recently deceased. When they reach out, let them teach us how to rest in peace. Let's talk about your ghosts: haunted or holy, they're part of your story. It's time to let go and make peace with the spirits. Listen and hear them!

WALLS 02:26
I can feel my heartbeat through my spine. I'm trapped behind the walls in the corner of your mind. Let me out of your head and into your life. I'm trapped inside the walls in the corner of your mind. The echo of eternal words remind; they're written on the walls in the corner of my mind. Set me free from my head to live a new life. Words cover the walls in the corner of my mind...for all time. For All Time. 'Til the End of Time. A world within the memory's design. I try to climb the walls in the corner of your mind. Let me be who I am and see and new light. I'll open up my eyes 'til the moment I go blind.
7.
Time will inform your state of mind. When you see that you've been blind, time will open up your eyes. You're blessed with the gift of consciousness. When you wake and while you rest, dream with all the time that's left! Every second, every moment, every waking hour. Don't let go! I can feel the power. We'll pull through, we will survive. Every second, every moment of your waking life. Swear. Make a promise you can keep. Never break the vow to see; live the hope that you believe. Stay true to word and young at heart. Stay the dreamer that you are. Stay the dreamer that you are! Every second, every moment, every waking hour. Don't let go! I can feel the power. We'll pull through, we will survive. Every second, every moment of your waking life. Every second, every moment, every waking hour. The light overcomes the darkest hour. A new day dawns on the other side, every second, every moment of your waking life.
8.
Move toward the future, honor the past with every step and every breath as if your last. Live in the moment, learn from mistakes; let all the pressure and the friction spark the flame. And burn bright again. Shine your light through the night and protect it 'til the end. Bright as gold, your innocence and intelligence. Don't let them make you cold. Shine your light! Brilliant and blinding, your heart aglow. The healing power from all the love you've ever known. Live for this moment; all you have is now. You thought you lost it long ago, but we never forget how... To burn bright again. Shine your light through the night and protect it 'til the end. Bright as gold, your innocence and intelligence. Free yourself from the cold. Shine your light! Sunrise! Sunshine! Burn like gold! Shine, shine! Sunlight! Burn like gold!

Deny/Heal 02:49
If you try to deny, the wounds never heal. A prison of conditions masking the real. It's difficult to find the quiet in our minds. It's time to listen to what you think and how you feel. Seek the truth with a head full of doubt. Getting through is the only way out. Move beyond being misunderstood. Seek to understand, seek the good. If you try to deny, then the wounds never heal. All the pain that you've caused, the pain that you feel. Freedom's just a word until your voice is heard. Liberate imprisoned minds and keep it real. Seek the truth with a head full of doubt. Getting through is the only way out. Move beyond being misunderstood. Seek to understand, seek the good. Seek the truth with a head full of doubt. Getting through is the only way out. Move beyond being misunderstood. Seek to understand, seek the good.

Battle Axe 02:21
It's a dark and treacherous path to reclaim my Battle Axe. One whose blade split souls in twain and caused blood to fall like rain. O, my Battle Axe! Swing hard, strike fast! My enemy will breathe his last! O, my Battle Axe! Our time, a flash. Bury me with my Battle Axe! From the Sacred Mountain's core, I have fed the fires of war. Her destruction is my goal, to save a weary warrior's soul. O, my Battle Axe! Swing hard, strike fast! My enemy will breathe his last! O, my Battle Axe! Our time, a flash. Bury me with my Battle Axe! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

about

Thanks for listening!
There’s a common thread of mind/thought/consciousness/mental health in each song. Here's a short reflection on my headspace during the creation of some of these songs.

- Memory Lane is about cognition and nostalgia. We can understand who we are in a deeper way when we use our senses in the moment, preserve memories, and acquire experience/knowledge. I think that’s an important part of life. Be present. Living in the future fills me with anxiety. Ruminating on the past fills me with shame and regret. All we have is now. Nostalgia has its place. It’s good to remember and be grateful for where you come from. I think we miss too much if our heads are in the “good old days”. Good exists now. Life is happening NOW.
- Ghost Story is about trauma and regret. There are some things we wish would just go away, but they keep showing up. It can be a memory, an idea about ourselves, a person, an event...it haunts us. They’re still scary and still have power over us. We don’t conquer demons and they don’t disappear. We have 2 choices: we can engage them in battle which is often painful or we can accept that they are around us but are NOT US. Haunted or Holy, they’re part of my story.
- Survive in America is about hatred, fear, and jingoism. Our country is in such deep chaos. But in order to find common ground, all sides must seek to understand the differences instead of dismissing or outright rejecting dissenting/opposing views. I’m writing from a place where I want to be known for what I love instead of what I hate. I also need to reflect and do the work of confronting and purging the hate that exists in the dark corners of my heart and mind. The lyric should read “ONE people’s voice is like a storm...” A worthy fight is the fight for unity.
- Walls is about relationships that are frozen as memory. This is an unrequited love song, but it’s not what you think on the surface. I’m not singing to a lover, I’m singing to an estranged family member. We have a very broken relationship and right now, I only exist as a thought or memory. Things can never be the same again, but that doesn’t mean things can’t be good again. I hold onto hope that I can stop being a thought and become real, but I can’t force that to happen. I also can’t allow my wholeness to be conditional on someone else’s choices. Some relationships don’t grow or end, they just sort of freeze. It’s a very powerless feeling. I’m going to continue living even if someone would rather erase me from their existence.
